Why a cooperative

Owned by traders, run for traders

STAG isn't a company that profits from you — it's an association that belongs to its members. The surplus comes back to the people who built it.

Member-owned, member-governed

Every member has one vote at the Annual General Meeting, no matter their balance.

The surplus is shared

Profits return to members as dividends and services, not to outside owners.

Welfare from day one

A common fund that supports members through bereavement, sickness and hard seasons.

Open and accountable

Clear records, member statements, and accounts presented back to the membership.

The idea, simply

Many small traders, one strong fund.

On their own, a market trader's daily cedis don't go far. Pooled together and owned in common, they build savings, credit and a safety net that no one could build alone.

“Boa me na me mmoa wo” — help me and let me help you.
Standing together

When one trader stumbles, the association steadies them.

That is the difference between saving alone and saving as a member. Your contribution is also your cover — and your neighbour's.
